Teaching children to
read, write, and count.
Data-driven literacy and numeracy for children aged 2 to 9, taught at their level until they reach mastery.
Give every child the superpower of reading, the confidence to prosper, and a lasting spirit of curiosity.
We take a data-driven, systematic approach: teaching children step by step, at their own pace and on their own level, until they can read.
Meet Luphawu.

Sifunimfundo ECD
When Luphawu started with us, she knew just two letters and could not yet blend a single sound. We met her exactly where she was. Term by term, on her own level, she built one skill on top of the next, until she was reading on her own.

More than reading lessons.

Taught at the right level
We track a dozen skills for every child and teach them in order, staying with each child until they have mastered each one.

Built to scale with government
We design versions of our programmes that government, NGOs, and schools can run themselves, training teacher assistants to deliver them.

A thousand stories
Every child hears 1,000 stories before the age of seven, building the vocabulary, memory, and imagination that reading depends on.
Numeracy
fundamentals.
With children aged 3 to 6, we teach the fundamentals of mathematics. Strong numerical foundations early give children confidence with numbers, problem-solving skills, and the logical thinking that serves them throughout their education.

We build and run preschools.
At our Sume Centre, every group of children has its own teacher and rotates through a complete early-learning environment. It is a joyful, well-equipped place to learn, and for these children it is life-changing. Our first centre is open, and we are building a second.
