Two Crises. One Solution.
We hire unemployed women and train them as reading & numeracy coaches in schools and preschools.
Women enter their first jobs, gaining skills and income.
Families are now receiving incomes.
Children learn to read and write, unlocking all learning.
By age seven, children hear 1,000 stories, boosting vocabulary and imagination.

Masi works in over 150 schools and preschools in South Africa's most impoverished region. The children we support are amongst the most impoverished on earth.
